Advocacy12

ADVOCACY ISSUES:

  • Clean drinking water being basic need of life is not available to the affectees
  • The registration of affectees has not yet started so it should be given attention
  • There is no equipment with national/provincial departments to rescue the flood affected communities, the helicopters with Army can’t access people who are bounded by water from all side & helicopters can’t land over small place so an alternate arrangement should be done on urgent basis for rescue operation
  • People living on road side get some assistance but the ones living in remote areas are neglected
  • Government should give NOC to registered organizations only
  • Mostly the children & women are missing in the areas so there is need to address & discuss this issue, it might be possible that they are kidnapped
  • The livelihood of people has totally lost, thousands acres of agricultural land has damaged so food security would be a big issue in near future
  • Dewatering, vaccination, spraying campaign and dead livestock dispose off are the necessary measures that require quick actions to be taken for not promoting secondary disasters
  • The roads and bridges are damaged and there is need to rehabilitate them on urgent basis for people to access the daily use items
  • Media is doing negative propaganda against I/N-NGOs
