Against Dr Farooq’ Khan murder in Hazara and AJK

Human and Democratic Rights activist of Sungi working area staged protest rallies against the brutal murder of Dr. Muhammad Farooque Khan in Hazara and AJK. The protester demanded from the government to provide security to the scholars like Dr .Khan. The protester who was carrying placards writing condolence messages on and the messages for the law enforcement agencies to start enquiry, unpack the reasons behind the murder. Later the protesters reached in front of press clubs in Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Battagram and AJK. They arranged a press conference and dispersed peacefully.

Dr.Farroque the Vice Chancellor of Malakand Islamic University and the renowned religious scholar has been gunned down along with a guard in Mardan on Saturday November 13, 2010. As per details, unidentified armed men opened fire at Dr. Farooq when he was at his clinic in Mardan due to which he was killed on the spot while his security guard was also killed. Dr Farooq, an active social worker of the area, had joined politics on the platform of Jamat Islami. 

In his vision and mission statement of life he wrote; 

I am humanist, Muslim, Pakistani and a Pakhtun. To strive for the well being of the whole humanity, to uphold the cause of Muslim Ummah and to exalt the dignity of Pakistan and Pukhtoons is my mission. There is no contradiction between their interests, provided every issue is seen with justice and fair play.
