Objective:
To provide diesel mills as well as operation, maintenance and management training
to flood affected communities.
Project
Highlights:
-
Project team completed verification survey of
five union councils of tehsil Palas, Kohistan in initial two
months.

Project team was the first to register with
UN-Log cluster for distribution of item through air lift.
-
Project staff prepared distribution plan of the diesel mills and
accessories.
-
35 village relief committees participated in relief operation providing
shelters to flood affected communities through helicopters/vehicles to the
villages.
-
To date project has installed 10 diesel mills at Kuz Paro and Kolai union councils.
Three diesel mills started maize flour grinding.

At all 10 villages, the training cycle of diesel mills operators was conducted in a
manner that diesel mills operators can fully undertake and understand working of diesel
mills and can manage mills without help in future.
