Homenet-South Asia- a network of home based worker in South Asia, has established a local branch of SAARC Business Association of Home Based Workers (Sabah) in Pakistan
SABAHSungi Development Foundation, in collaboration with Homenet-South Asia- a network of home based worker in South Asia, has established a local branch of SAARC Business Association of Home Based Workers (Sabah) in Pakistan. Sabah is already working in 4 South Asian Countries, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Sabah-Pakistan is formally lunched on November 5, 2009. At the time of launch it has 160 memberships of woman home based artisans mostly belonging to rural areas of Hazara division of Northern Pakistan. It is hoped that Sabah- Pakistan would not only provide capacity building, production and marketing services globally to home based workers/ artisans of Pakistan but also provide them an effective platform to strengthening women rights movement
