SECTOR:    Cash for Choice Phase-II

Supported by: Oxfam Novib

ACTIVITY

Sungi is implementing a project ''Cash for Choice'' with support of Oxfam Novib. The objective is to support dwellers of Swat, Dir, Buner who left their homes without in an emergency without any necessities of life and living either with host families or in rented houses. Cash grant is being provided as their right to fulfill their immediate needs.

 This project is being implemented in 05 Districts i.e. Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Mardan & Swabi. Detailed assessment is done with the help of local residents, by teams comprising of trained volunteer women and men who have visited each family in their place of refuge. In local branches of MCB on the spot Rs. 8,000 is given to each family having family members 1-5 (i.e. Category A) & Rs.12,000 each family with family member 6 or more (i.e. Category B).
